For several weeks there have been repeated power outages in various houses on EdS and in areas outside EdS. EdS has had electricians who have not found any faults inside the EdS area.
Endesa is also working on the case without results so far. For the individual resident, it may be useful to install fuses with a ground fault circuit interrupter on each circuit.
There are also fuses that trip up to 3 times, before it finally goes down the 4th time.
Restaurant renovation – updated 11.03.25
The restaurant renovation started on November 4th and was supposed to be finished by February 28th.
The work is progressing, but is well overdue. Håkon, Rune and Egil are in daily contact with Barrena and Lopez Peña Construcciones and we hope for a quick completion.
The board has signed a contract with Lopez Peña Construcciones and Barrena.
Håkon Stordalen, Egil Fosse and José Barrena have led the work to complete the floor plans. EdS’s committee with Håkon, Rune and Egil have made a fantastic effort every day during the restoration. The restaurant has moved the service to the club during the upgrade, and it has worked well with good attendance. Mustapha thanks everyone for the good memories in 2024, and wishes all residents a happy new year in 2025. Monday, February 10, the restaurant will be open again.

Hired gardeners, repairman and cleaning staff -updated 14.11.24
EdS now has 3 hired gardeners: Jose (Pepe’s son), Jesus and David.
Pepe, who was our last permanent gardener, has now retired. As decided by the GF, EdS will no longer employ gardeners, but will hire those according to needs.
In addition, we have a repairman, Salvador, who repairs minor damage to the house and area.

Why are we replacing the old system? The old system is from 2009, so 15 years old. In several houses it has not worked and there have been large expenses for repairs every year. The operations manager obtained bids from Blaze, Grupo GTA and Ezmar (local locksmith). Blaze came out best with maintenance costs, and after negotiations on installation costs they came out best overall.
All residents will receive or have received a code by email that you use to log in to the Abrebox app, which each owner must download to their mobile phone. The garage door at entrance 13 can also be opened via the app on their mobile phone. When someone calls the apartment number at one of the entrances to EdS, a message appears on the locked screen and you open by sliding the “slider”.
It is important that you do not open without talking to the caller.
Codes for opening the door are no longer available. They were too easy to guess and posed a security risk.
